A Big Top Circus Party For Your Little ClownHosting children’s birthday parties can be a lot of work, but also a lot of fun too! When deciding which type of theme you want for your child’s party, try to reflect something about their personality that will get them excited and ensure that they will thoroughly enjoy themselves on their special day. If your child loves the circus, then a Big Top themed party can be a great way to celebrate his or her birthday. Your invitations can consist of a large homemade “Admit One” ticket with the contents of your party information printed on it. This can easily be printed up on your home computer. Remind your guests to bring their tickets to the party with them. When they arrive at your door, have them put their ticket in a special box and you will draw out one ticket from your guests at the end of the party for a special door prize. As an attendee of other children’s birthday parties, you know that the theme is everything. When hosting a circus theme, really think about the details that you can do to help this party stand out above the rest. Think about renting an antique popcorn machine to serve to your guests as a fun snack. As a fun activity, lay a rope along the length of your backyard. Give them an umbrella and have them imagine that they are walking the tightrope fifty feet up in the air. Encourage them to perform “daring and death defying” acts for the audience. You can give your child and his/her guests lots of oversized clothes, shoes and silly hats and they can pretend to be circus clowns performing for the audience of parents! When your guests are leaving, give them a goody bag full of a bright red clown nose, cotton candy and other circus themed treats. Tie this bag together with a bunch of brightly colored helium balloons for that extra added touch.
If you have been to countless children’s birthday parties, you know that many of them are the typical ice cream, cake and presents type of party. If you want to step outside of the box a little, you can create a circus adventure for your child and all their friends that will even have their parents discovering that they are enjoying themselves too!
